Technovit EPOX© is a versatile epoxy resin system that consists of the Epox resin component and two hardener options: EPOX Hardener Fast, which has a shorter curing time, and EPOX Hardener Regular, which has an extended curing time. Choosing the appropriate hardener component allows you to easily adjust the curing time to suit your application’s requirements. When applied under vacuum or pressure vessel systems, a polymerization time of one hour ensures thorough infiltration of porous materials.
This system is suitable for various material types but is particularly recommended for porous materials that need embedding under vacuum or pressure. The epoxy resin can penetrate all crevices using vacuum impregnation or a pressure vessel, ensuring complete polymerization. To get the best results, use a mixing ratio of 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener.
If flexibility is needed during processing, the polymerization time can be adjusted by storing the mounted sample in a cold-water bath or refrigerator. This feature enables the tailoring of the polymerization time.
