Violex is a long-nap polishing cloth designed to reduce deformation, smearing, and pull-out during the final stages of polishing. Its soft, rayon-flocked texture enhances the retention of fine abrasives, enabling controlled material removal on delicate or relief-sensitive specimens. This cloth is suitable for aluminum and other non-ferrous alloys, soft steels, nickel- and titanium-based alloys, and precious metals. When used with fine diamond, alumina, or colloidal silica suspensions, Violex produces a consistent, scratch-free final finish suitable for metallographic analysis. For added convenience, it is available with adhesive or magnetic backing.
