Hardness testing is a valuable and widely used mechanical test for evaluating properties of a metal. One of the purposes of hardness testing is to determine the suitability of the material. The hardness of a material is considered the resistance to permanent indentation. The indenter is pressed onto the surface of the metal to be tested under a specific weight load for a definite time interval. The measurement is made by the size or the depth of the indentation. Specify if you would like a steel or carbide ball.
